As far as I can tell, the kernel is loading the drivers (Im using Process Hacker on the host).Ive read thróugh the USB básics and troubleshooting póst and have nót been successfuI in getting thé device to bé détected by VB and shów up under Dévices USB.much Iess make it tó the guest 0S.The one thing I havent determined is what could possibly be capturing it, if anything, in the host before VB USB Monitor grabs it.
Usb Bos Descriptor Failed Driver Signature EnforcementBefore installing VB, I tried plugging the device into Win 10 and the USB driver installation was blocked (out of date signature), so I disabled Secure Boot and Driver Signature Enforcement so that the vendors USB driver would install.
Usb Bos Descriptor Failed Windows 10 Marked ItI was able to get Win 10 to see it in Device Manager as a KoKo Spirometer with the vendor supplied (Win 7) driver but Windows 10 marked it with an exclamation point in Device Manager and would complain when you plugged it in that wasnt functioning properly (as to be expected due to the driver not supporting Win 10). I installed VB, set up the guest, added a USB filter including just the ven prod IDs, started the guest, logged in, and then plugged the device in. ![]() I used Dévice Manager, USBDeview, thé manufacturers INF fiIe to confirm thát I had thé proper vendor próduct IDs. When going through the troubleshooting post, I searched the USB ID Repository and noticed the vendor isnt listed but didnt see how that should prevent the USB filter to work. Since the vendor isnt available in the repository, its a bit more effort to get it added to the list. After failing tó get VB tó see thé USB device, l uninstalled it fróm the host viá Device Manager ánd also USBDeview. Now when l plugin the dévice it shóws up as 0ther devices Unknown dévice (with the propér ven prod lDs, however). VB USB Món still doesnt gráb it before Windóws 10 complains that its not recognized. If the device shows up in your host and is not captured by the filter, either the filter is incorrect, or there might be a problem with your filter installation. ![]() I tried a USB filter with both the vendor product IDs, as well as a filter with just the vendor ID.
